Anand Swaminathan is a Professor of Organization & Management at the Goizueta Business School at Emory University. He received his Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior and Industrial Relations from the University of California at Berkeley in 1993. He studies the effects of competitive institutional environment and network structure on a variety of outcomes including market entry and exit, organizational change, and the diffusion of organizational practices and institutional rules. His current research examines the exit of multinational enterprises from Myanmar, the evolution of the payday lending industry, and career mobility among coaches in the NFL. Anand Swaminathan has served as an Associate Editor of the Academy of Management Review and the Journal of International Business Studies in the past and is currently a member of the Editorial Board of the Strategic Management Journal and Organization Science.
