Anoop Madhok is a Professor of Strategy and the Distinguished Scotiabank Professor in International Business & Entrepreneurship at the Schulich School of Business, York University, Toronto, Canada. He was earlier a Professor of Strategic Management at the University of Utah, USA and has held Visiting Professorships in numerous universities worldwide, including Erasmus University and Vrije University (Netherlands), University of Melbourne (Australia), University of Glasgow (UK), University Carlos III, University of Valencia (Spain), among others. Professor Madhok’s research spans the areas of strategy, international business, and entrepreneurship, and his research interests include interfirm collaboration, global strategy, economic organization, and firm boundaries, and, more recently, platforms and ecosystems. His papers have been widely published in prestigious journals such as the Academy of Management Journal, Strategic Management Journal, Organization Science, Journal of International Business Studies, among others, and he has received numerous honors and awards in recognition of his work. He received the 2019 Global Strategy Best Paper Award as well as the 2005 Journal of International Business Studies Decade Award and was recognized in 2008 as one of the top contributors worldwide in international strategic management research. He also received the McGill University Desautels Faculty of Management Distinguished PhD Alumnus Award in 2009.
