Samina Karim is Professor at Northeastern University’s D'Amore-McKim School of Business. Her research focuses on acquisitions and alliances, organization design, and innovation through reconfiguration of resources and activities. Samina’s research has been published in a wide array of top journals including the Academy of Management Journal, Management Science, Organization Science and Strategic Management Journal. She serves on the editorial review boards of Organization Science, Strategic Organization and Strategy Science, and served as a Senior Editor for the Journal of Organization Design from its founding in 2013 through 2017. In Fall 2019 she will serve as the Division Chair for the STR division of the Academy of Management, and served in 2016 as the Chair for the Competitive Strategy Interest Group of the Strategic Management Society. She earned degrees from the University of Michigan (at Ann Arbor)(Ph.D. Strategy; MA Economics), Harvard University (MA Education), and Cornell University (BS Electrical Engineering), and worked for Hewlett-Packard Co.
