Todd Zenger is the N. Eldon Tanner Presidential Professor in Strategy and Strategic Leadership, Chair of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Strategy, and Academic Director of the Goff Strategic Leadership Center at the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah. From 1990-2014, he served on the faculty at Washington University in St. Louis. Professor Zenger completed his undergraduate degree in economics at Stanford University and his PhD in strategy and organization at UCLA. Professor Zenger is a global expert on topics of strategy and organization design. He has lectured widely on these topics and has published extensively in the leading academic and practitioner journals in management and strategy. He currently serves as senior editor at Strategy Science, associate editor at Journal of Organization Design, editorial board member at Strategic Management Journal, and Chair of the Strategy Science Section of INFORMS. He is the author of Beyond Competitive Advantage: How to Solve the Puzzle of Sustaining Growth While Creating Value (HBR Press, June 2016). Current research focuses on theories of value in entrepreneurship and strategy, the theory of the firm, and organizational design and incentives.
