Anne-Sophie Fernandez, Ph.D., is Associate Professor of Strategic Management at the University of Montpellier (France) and a member of Montpellier Research in Management (MRM). She has also been a visiting scholar at Virginia Tech (Virginia, US) and at Umeå University (Sweden). Her research focuses on alliances and coopetition for innovation. She specifically investigated why competitors ally for innovation and how they can achieve successfully joint innovation projects. She studied several industries such as the aerospace industry, the airline industry or the railway industry. She already published several articles in ranked journal (Industrial Marketing Management, British Journal of Management, Long Range Planning) and she has participated to the coordination of special issues on coopetition. More recently, she coordinated the Routledge Companion to Coopetition Strategies published in 2018. She also contributed to the creation of the CENA Community (https://www.cenacommunity.com/) that gathers researchers on coopetition, ecosystems, networks and alliances.
