Anthony J. Nyberg is a Professor at the University of South Carolina who teaches Negotiations, Rewards, and Research Methods. His research examines how organizations compete through people, specifically the strategic role of pay in the attraction, emergence, retention, and motivation of human capital resources. He publishes in top academic journals, and his editorial service includes serving as an Associate Editor for the Academy of Management Journal. He has received awards for teaching and research including awards for best dissertation, best published manuscript (twice), and the Early Career Achievement award from the Academy of Management’s HR Division. His research has also been highlighted in major international media outlets. Anthony received his doctorate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Prior to that he spent nine years as the managing partner for an international financial services firm, where he held Series 7, 24, 55, and 63 licenses, and earned his Certified Financial Analyst designation.
