Pao-Lien Chen is an Assistant Professor of the Institute of Technology Management at the National Tsing Hua University in Taiwan. She completed her Ph.D. at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). Her research focuses on how people, structure, and experience affect the performance and the adaptation of firms in the market of entry. She has studied how entrant origin, experience of directors, and executive movement across firms and industries affect firms’ growth in the market of entry, and how firms face the challenges of disruptive technological change. Pao-Lien Chen's research article has appeared in the Strategic Management Journal.
