Denisa Mindruta is an Associate Professor of Strategy at HEC Paris. She earned her PhD in strategic management from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Her research examines how organizations and individuals within organizations create and appropriate value through strategic partnering. A number of projects focus on the ex-ante matching process driving partnership formation. She has explored matching in a variety of empirical contexts involving contractual relationships between employees, teams, firms, universities, and non-profit organizations. Denisa’s research was published in the Strategic Management Journal and the American Journal of Political Science. Denisa was a finalist for the INFORMS/Organization Science Dissertation Competition and for the Wiley Blackwell Dissertation Award and is a Kauffman Foundation dissertation fellow. Denisa currently serves on the Strategic Management Journal editorial review board. She teaches Strategy and Technology Management in the PhD, specialized masters, and MBA programs.
